We are an in home preschool that converted part of our home to use as our school. We believe that children need a loving environment that is their "home away from home" while also stimulating their natural abilities and cultivating a sense of identity and self-esteem.

     My husband, Jeremy, and I are partners in running the preschool. I mainly take care of the classroom and curriculum while Jeremy takes care of the accounting, cooking, etc.  I am an Arkansas Tech University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education and am licensed in grades PreK- 4th. I have taught preschool and school age children for the past fifteen years. My husband graduated from Pulaski Technical College and was in the IT field for many years. Through my experiences I have seen how children benefit from smaller, more engaged classroom experiences. This is the idea that we have built Deep Roots Preschool around.  We also incorporate everyday tasks into our curriculum.  Students will have opportunities to help prepare food, plan meals, garden, take care of animals, and other valuable learning experiences. 

     My husband, Jeremy, and I have three children:  Micah age 17, Jordan age 15,  and Austin age 6.  We have one outside pet named Buddie, a Siberian Husky, who loves kids and enjoys the extra attention. We also have a class pet named Larry who is a bearded dragon! We are located in a quiet neighborhood and our playground is in the fenced backyard.
